Houston, Texas -- September 26, 2019 - Bishop Lifting Products announces that it has completed the acquisition of Western Sling & Supply Company.  Headquartered in the Denver, Colorado suburb of Sedalia, along with a branch operation in Casper, Wyoming, Western Sling & Supply Company is recognized as one of the leading providers of rigging and lifting equipment in the Rocky Mountain region of the US.  This acquisition expands Bishop Lifting’s presence in the Midwest regions of the US, along with broadening the company’s access to new end markets currently being serviced by Western Sling & Supply,

2019 Hurricane Preparedness Plan

Dear Loyal Morgan City Rentals Customers,

Morgan City Rentals has implemented the following equipment policy during the 2019 Hurricane Season. Our first responsibility is the safety of our employees and their families and we apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause. The customer will be responsible for the security of the equipment during the storm, should the equipment not be returned within the Morgan City Rentals Hurricane Preparedness Plan time frame. The customer will be responsible for any damages and losses to the equipment due to the passage of a tropical storm / hurricane.

When a tropical storm / hurricane forms in or enters the Gulf of Mexico, Morgan City Rentals Hurricane Preparedness Plan will go into effect.

Alert Status ONE – a named storm forming or entering the Gulf of Mexico will trigger initial Morgan City Rentals hurricane preparedness operations. Suspension of “First Refusals” on all equipment will be in effect. Any equipment that is available, if requested, will be put on rent at this time. No rentals will be bound without providing MCR with a PO or AFE number and contact persons responsible for delivery of rented equipment stored at our facilities. Morgan City Rentals will assist all of our customers in expediting the return of our rental equipment utilizing Morgan City Rentals’ trucks or assist in contracting third party transportation to our Morgan City, Golden Meadow, or Broussard, LA facilities if the customer chooses to do so.

Alert Status TWO – a Tropical Storm Watch (sustained winds from 39 to 73 mph are possible within 36 hours) is issued by the National Hurricane Center for an area containing any of our facilities located in Morgan City, Golden Meadow or Broussard, LA. Morgan City Rentals personnel will begin to secure facilities. Morgan City Rentals will continue to assist customers with equipment rental return and continue to accept equipment at our facilities.

Alert Status THREE – a Hurricane Watch (sustained winds of 73 mph or greater are possible within 36 hours) is issued by the National Hurricane Center for an area containing any of our facilities located in Morgan City, Golden Meadow or Broussard, LA. Morgan City Rentals will cease to retrieve or receive equipment from the docks or customers and the rigging division will no longer be able to receive or ship orders. Morgan City Rentals personnel will begin evacuations. Additionally, any equipment not returned to Morgan City Rentals’ facilities prior to setting Alert Status THREE will be considered on rent and the customer will be responsible to ensure the safekeeping of the equipment.

Post Hurricane – Morgan City Rentals will conduct an initial damage assessment at all facilities to ensure the facilities can safely resume operations. Any equipment not returned to Morgan City Rentals prior to the passage of a tropical storm or hurricane that has been lost or damaged, the customer will be responsible to report the loss or damage of the equipment to Morgan City Rentals at the conclusion of the customer’s damage assessment. Any equipment available immediately after the passage of the storm will be for rent only. First refusals on equipment will not be honored until all storm assessments are finalized. Houston, TX – February 1, 2019 -- Bishop Lifting Products completed the acquisition of Woods Logging and Industrial Supply based out of Longview, Washington.   Since 1978, Woods Logging has specialized in servicing the logging, marine and construction industries with spooling services, rigging products, wire rope and hydraulic solutions.

This bolt on acquisition fits into Bishop Lifting Products growth strategy to accelerate its position in Texas and Louisiana markets.
