Dear Loyal Morgan City Rentals Customers,
Morgan City Rentals has implemented the following equipment policy during the 2017 Hurricane Season. Our first responsibility is the safety of our employees and their families and we apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause. The customer will be responsible for the security of the equipment during the storm, should the equipment not be returned within the Morgan City Rentals Hurricane Preparedness Plan time frame. The customer will be responsible for any damages and losses to the equipment due to the passage of a tropical storm / hurricane.
When a tropical storm / hurricane forms in or enters the Gulf of Mexico, Morgan City Rentals Hurricane Preparedness Plan will go into effect.
Alert Status ONE – a named storm forming or entering the Gulf of Mexico will trigger initial Morgan City Rentals hurricane preparedness operations. Suspension of “First Refusals” on all equipment will be in effect. Any equipment that is available, if requested, will be put on rent at this time. No rentals will be bound without providing MCR with a PO or AFE number and contact persons responsible for delivery of rented equipment stored at our facilities. Morgan City Rentals will assist all of our customers in expediting the return of our rental equipment utilizing Morgan City Rentals’ trucks or assist in contracting third party transportation to our Morgan City, Golden Meadow, or Broussard, LA facilities if the customer chooses to do so.
Alert Status TWO – a Tropical Storm Watch (sustained winds from 39 to 73 mph are possible within 36 hours) is issued by the National Hurricane Center for an area containing any of our facilities located in Morgan City, Golden Meadow or Broussard, LA. Morgan City Rentals personnel will begin to secure facilities. Morgan City Rentals will continue to assist customers with equipment rental return and continue to accept equipment at our facilities.
Alert Status THREE – a Hurricane Watch (sustained winds of 73 mph or greater are possible within 36 hours) is issued by the National Hurricane Center for an area containing any of our facilities located in Morgan City, Golden Meadow or Broussard, LA. Morgan City Rentals personnel will begin evacuations. Additionally, any equipment not returned to Morgan City Rentals’ facilities prior to setting Alert Status THREE will be considered on rent and the customer will be responsible to ensure the safekeeping of the equipment.
Post Hurricane – Morgan City Rentals will conduct an initial damage assessment at all facilities to ensure the facilities can safely resume operations. Any equipment not returned to Morgan City Rentals prior to the passage of a tropical storm or hurricane that has been lost or damaged, the customer will be responsible to report the loss or damage of the equipment to Morgan City Rentals at the conclusion of the customer’s damage assessment.
